Something that's not unheard of by people using both tents, as well as TT's, and TM's, is bringing along a very large tarp to set up above the TT if you'll be staying in one place for a while, and expecting a lot of rain. This works best if you're camping in a wooded area. One of the easiest ways to set something like this is to carry some long bungee cords, one for each corner, and whatever ya want to secure the roof up into a peak. Quick, easy, and most places with trees around will suffice easily. You can put it up and take it down in a couple mins if need be as well! At any rate, it'll cut down on the noise, and really save your TM's roof if it should hail.....Another advantage to this is if you're in a wooded area containing a lot of pines, or in the fall with falling leaves, keeps em off the roof making it much easier to clean off before ya take down your TM....Just another option made easy..........
