Default AC cover

We recently purchased a used 2007 2720. The AC cover is cracked and we want to replace it. Is it safe to crawl and walk on the roof of the trailer? Thank you!

Default NO. Don't walk on the bare roof.

You are likely to bend it and harm the center seam.

instead, set a fairly thick layer of blankets on the roof (to prevent scratching, from the plywood) and then use a segment of plywood to spread your weight over a much larger area.

Hopefully you're referring to the plastic A/C cover and not the A/C skirt under the A/C unit, but if you mean the A/C skirt read further:

I had to replace the A/C skirt of my 2021 TrailManor late last year due to a manufacturing defect....so let me add to the previous advice:

The A/C unit is heavy and fairly bulky. Place blankets over the TrailManor's roof shells and cover with plywood to use as your work platform (so your body weight won't damage the shells) but also plan to use a couple of 2x6 boards across the shell (supported at the rigid edge where the top of the shell meets the shell walls) as a scaffolding to hold the AC unit up while you replace the A/C skirt.

I put a PDF on the TrailManor Fans FaceBook page (under files) with pictures and additional steps I took (installation of a marine hatch gasket around the A/C perimeter) and will be happy to try to answer any questions you may have. My PDF repair document was sent to TrailManor with hopes they'd update their manufacturing process to include the marine hatch gasket update, as the black AC skirt they now use tends to warp when heated by the sun.
