Default Vinyl Flap - Near Door

The vinyl flap that is near the door is coming apart. The stitching around the wood is coming loose and has a hole in it. Also, the wood on the inside has broken and is starting to poke a hole thru the flap.

I tried using super glue on the stitching when it first started and attached a small vinyl patch over the hole with super glue.

The patch fell off and the super glue didn't help on the stitching. It has continued to come apart more. And now the wood is breaking apart.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to repair this?

I would take that picture to a local upholstery shop and see what they can do with it. These flaps are held on with a metal strip and screws, so you should be able to remove it and have them repair it. I wouldn't do it myself, cause trying to push a needle thru that material will not be easy. A commercial shop would have equipment to do the repair. How much it will cost???
What ever you decide, good luck.

I think I saw it on the Facebook Trailmanor Fans page, but maybe it was here... Anyway, some had posted photos of new flaps they made - they looked really, really nice - bright white instead of that 'chain smoker lives here' color... They used marine upholstery vinyl, outdoor thread (they bought it at JoAnn Fabrics), and 1/4" plywood. I know that's a lot of work when you only need a small repair - but you would know if you feel your flaps are beginning to deteriorate and are perhaps nearing the end of their useful, working life. If that's the case, it might be worth just making new ones. The advantage to making your own (or even having someone make them for you), is you could select the color vinyl you want.

Well, I finally found the photos I was looking for on the FB site - but then I realized that it was a comment to a post you made - I think. Ah well - trying to correlate FB names with TM Forum names is not that easy sometimes....

I would try trailmanor they have helped me out with a few oddball parts. They may ask you to email a photo the part. But if its the flap next to the door and stove I would think they could help you.
