i have a '99 gmc sierra 1500 with a tow package. but my truck will not recharge my battery in my TM when hooked up. someone suggested that in my owners manual it will tell me how to hook up the recharging feature. but i could not find it. is it just a fuse somewhere? is it two wires that have to be connected? please help. thank you.

On my 05 Silverado, the fuse location is called stud 1. and is in the fuse block under the hood on the drivers fender. The fuse is located at the rear passengers side of the fuse block. May have a dummy filler in it.
