Default Energy Balls (Healthier Snack)

We try to steer ourselves to healthier snacks and Energy Balls is one of our favorite recipes: 1/2 cup dry non-fat milk, 1 1/4 cups oatmeal (1 min works best but I use either), 1/2 cup flaked coconut, 1/2 cup wheat germ, 1/3 cup sesame seeds (you can substitute more of something else like the coconut or wheat germ and it still works fine), 1/2 cup chopped dates or raisins, 1/2 cup chunky peanut butter, and 1/2 cup honey. Shape into balls. Stores for several weeks in the frig. Good thing is with the base of oatmeal, honey and peanut butter you can add just about anything else and end up with a customized item.

That sounds yummy! Do you toast the sesame seeds first?
Thanks, Kelley

Default Don't Toast The Sesame Seeds

I don't toast the sesame seeds but there wouldn't be any reason not too and it would vary the flavor. I like to make little changes all the time to all my recipes.

Default energy balls

I do a similar one without the milk and mini chocolate chips.
