Default Quick Tire Changing Questions

I noticed last weekend one of my tires has a sidewall injury and one has severe dry rot on the sidewall. So time for new tires... I'm rounding up necessary tools tonight and have a couple quick questions:

What size are the lug nuts?

How tall a jack do I need to get the wheels off the ground? The axle seems to have a pretty good range of travel...

As always, thanks for the help!

I used the stabilizer jacks to raise the trailer high enough when I replaced my tires but had a set of Jack stands under it once it was up just in case. 13/16 (21mm)

Here's a good link.

Don't put the jack on the axle. That will ruin it.

Put the jack on the frame as near to the axle as you can. I use the stabilizer on the side i'm changing. For safety, I put down the jack stands once I jack it up with the jack.

FYI: I tested my jack and lug wrench from my TV and they work. So now I don't need to carry these tools.

You might want to check yout spare tire date code. Even if the tire is new but over 6 year old, I would replace it. They self destruct with time.

Yeah I've read 100x about not putting the jack directly on the axle!
