Wireless LPG tank gauge
Mopeka Tank Check. Two Bluetooth LE sensors that stick to the bottom of your tank with magnets, and measure the remaining gas using sound waves. Little panel that goes anywhere or use your phone. No wires. Seems to work so far.
Tank weight corresponds to reading. The app lets you name your tanks and have your barbecue, RV, and house tank on the same app. Sensors for ≤ 100 lb and > 100 lb. They have a cloud gateway for remote use.

Interesting. Do you know if they can be used on horizontal tanks?
I've always been woefully underimpressed by the gauges on mine. Do you have to remove the sensors during travel?

The app, not the stand alone panel. You have to enter the diameter, and then it will read the liquid height as a percentage. And you might want to tape the sensor on if it could fall or the tank is nonmagnetic. Mine has a metal dish under the tanks.

Mopeka propane tank sensors
I really want to like these sensors, but I cannot recommend.
I puchased a set of two sensors a little less than two years ago. Pairing the sensors to the phone app was easy. They worked fine for the first season.
At this point neither sensor can detect any gas level in nearly full tanks Both have fresh batteries and are transmitting a signal.
It's a good idea, poorly executed. The case is not protected in any way from moisture. Just two pieces of plastic that snap together. You have to pry them apart with a fine bladed screwdriver to change the battery. The circuit board is not screwed down. It simply rests between tabs in the case and susceptible to vibration. Finally the whole package is too thick to put under a propane tank. The sensors ship with little tabs to lift the tank, but they are a pain and harden over time. One of the magnet sockets on each case has broken. They are strong magnets designed to hold the sensor firmly to the tank. I suspect this is the failure point and I am going to try and glue those down. Mopeka sells better tank lifting options now, but that's more $$ to fix a weak design.
I'll update if I can get them working.

Did you talk with their customer service? Other users said the customer service was good.

Since they were out of warranty I didn't really think about it. Worth a shot. I sent them a question about temperature compensation back in late 2017. That was added last year.

I just bought one sensor, which I will pair with my phone and manually stick to the tank as part of set up, remove at tear-down. Hopefully this will alleviate any vibration/failure while still giving me the readings I'm looking for -- primary tank is my concern, I rarely auto-switch on my trips.
Thanks for the info!

I'm very curious to hear how it works on your horizontal tanks!
