Default Closing curtains without fiddling

Hello all,

I'm tired of having to mess with the curtains to get them to close well (so that from the outside, people can't see into the TM where the curtains meet). Has anyone modified the curtains so that they can be positively secured to one another? I was thinking velcro strips, but maybe there's an easier way?

I put velcro strips on ours, it works fine. You could probably also use a large "hook & eye".

We use a small, plastic clothespin.

I never worry about it. We (essentially) never stay in RV parks, so the nearest "neighbor" is at least 30 yards away, unless they walk into my campsite.

At 30 yards there is not much that anyone can see.

If I did want to deal with it I would probably use clothes pins or paper clips, since I would only do that once every few years. The time it takes to install Velcro would not be worth the trouble for me.

I bought a package of small dark colored plastic clips that work quite well. And only $1 for 10!

How to close curtains without fiddling? Actually, I never thought fiddles were heavy enough to hold the curtains closed anyway. I've leaned my banjo against some of the curtains but I only own three banjos and there are a lot more windows than that. What to do????

Sorry, that was too good of a setup. I just couldn't help it! <grin>

Bluegrass -

Have you been to Lyons, CO, in the last year? They've done amazing things to the downtown area. Beautiful!

Like some others who already commented, we keep a bag of very small plastic clothespins in the camper. Part of our setup is to attach one to each curtain set, then we just clip the curtains together with a bit of overlap at night, which works very well.

It's been quite a long time ago. Maybe we'll get there next year.

We have gone a step further than curtains with ours. When we were at the beach in California, our neighbor walked up and told us that he had seen our cat through the window and went up to say hi to him and "thought he was going to come through the screen at me". 1. We were absolutely shocked because that is NOT why his name is Monster. 2. The cat was on the bed. 3. On what planet is it ok to walk up to a stranger's trailer and look in the bedroom window???? Anyway, we had covers for the huge windshield and driver and passenger windows on our Bounder and loved them. After this experience at the beach, we ordered them for the bedroom windows on the TM. We loved them so much that we just ordered them for the rest of the windows. With these, you can see out, people can't see in and you have just as much privacy with the curtains open and the windows open (can you say bathroom). A link to a picture that shows one of them on the window is http://www.trailmanorowners.com/foru...ad.php?t=10445. I'm too lazy to find the picture on my computer or camera.
