Default So far... No leaks

Summers here in So. Cal are usually rain-free so I haven't been able to determine whether I have any roof leaks in the Elkmont that we bought in June... Until today! Both last night and twice today, we've had heavy thunderstorms pass through while camping, with no detected leaks so far. As can be imagined, we are pleased!

You're a lucky man. Mine has started leaking again, so I'm going to try eternabond.
More details in post 15 of this thread: http://www.trailmanorowners.com/foru...ad.php?t=10468

EDIT: How many miles have you put on it? I've got around 10,000. Perhaps that much bouncing around create leaks? Pretty sure John Wahlstein had a leak develop on his Elkmont when he drove it across the country too.

Brulaz,

Probably about 2000 miles. We've only done local trips; the farthest about 250 miles each way, most about 200 miles round trip.

We had more rain last night; still no leaks. Knock on aluminum/styrene foam!

Well maybe high mileage does have something to do with it.

Off-topic: That's a nice little, light-weight kitchen/BBQ stand (?) in your picture. Do you recall where you got it? And would you recommend it? We're looking for something like that ...

Yeah, we like the grill stand a lot. It's by Camco, and we got it at Amazon for $85 with free shipping. Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/Camco-57293-De.../dp/B00192JGDU

Comes with a nice canvas storage bag, is easy to set up / take down, and fits nicely under the bed.

Default Leaks

Local camping for us too, less than 1000 mi since we bought ours in 3/2010 and six different leaks.
As our first TT we purchased the 2010 Elkmont early to learn and to get ready for retirement this month 6/2011.
We planned to start doing lots of camping starting this summer.
