Default Toilet - leaking

I was putting water into the toilet to fill the tank and I noticed water coming through the lower left corner. Is this a common problem and does anybody have experience in taking off the toilet to fix it? I noticed there are four screws (two on each side) with the left ones being really hard to get to as they are right up against the shower/tub wall. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Probably a good idea to join the forum. Best $12 you will ever spend on your TM. It will allow you to search, and I guarantee you will find a detailed answer to this one by Dave, better known as Shrimp Burrito.

Definitely join. This is the only forum I've ever paid membership to, and I will do so for as long as it operates and I have a TM.

That screw is exactly where mine leaked from, there was a little piece of plastic left over from the manufacturing process that prevented it from sealing all the way. Take off the top (read how in the link above, it's a LOT easier than you'd think) and look to see if the two surfaces where that screw goes mate properly. I just used a sharp knife and shaved off the tab, problem solved.
