Default Tv Antenna

I can not rotate the antenna. It is in the upright position. When I try to rotate it from inside the trailer while pulling down on the plastic ring it will not move in either direction.....any help would be appreciated.

Couple of questions.
Does the ring pull down enough to disengage the locking mechanism?
Did you recently do any sealing of the outside mechanism?
Have you lubricated the outside mechanism?
To lubricate
close the front shell
Remove the small black plug from the top side of the outdoor antenna mounting
Spray a little silicon spray lubricant down the hole.
Rotate the mechanism a few times to spread the silicon and loosen up the rotating mechanism.

Did it ever rotate? Since you have a 2005 TM, presumably it did. What has happened since then? Have you looked at the manual that shows an exploded parts list, to confirm (for example) that no screws are missing, or have backed out and bound?

I didn't know that our antenna rotated until we'd had our TM for a couple of years. I really had to twist it hard and pull down on it really hard to get it to move that first time. Maybe it would help to have someone trying to move it around from the top while you pull down the plastic handle. Don't force it too hard, just try to wiggle it until it moves. I replaced ours a couple of years ago, and from what I recall, there are little teeth on one side of the plastic ring that fit down into little holes on the other side of he plastic ring, that keeps the antenna from moving while the handle isn't pulled down. You have to pull down enough so that the teeth disengage.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. Now I got it to work with a little oil into the small black hole topside.
Thank you all very much!
