Hi Seisman,

Welcome to Trailmanor forums! I hope you are enjoying (or going to enjoy) your Trailmanor as much as we do.

I put together an article on Torsion Bar Adjustments in the technical library. You will be able to view this during your "trial membership", but once your trial ends you will need to invest in a subscription. (Just so you know, this is the only forum I actually pay for. It is very valuable and has been worth every penny for me.)

I do have a guide for torsion bar replacement, but I still haven't had a chance to finish polishing it up to publish here. The process is very involved because it involves separating and raising the shell from the lift arms.

On a scale of 1-10, an oil change for a car is 1 and removing the transmission of a car is a 10, this is definitely somewhere around 5-7. The Trailmanor factory has an overhead crane to lift the shell making this easier. If you don't have a barn and the ability to rig a sturdy lift system, you have to rig up a support system from below.

If you are able to raise the end of the shell enough to free the lift arm, removing and replacing the torsion bar itself is fairly easy.

If it’s the front front or rear rear arms that need replacing, lifting the roof shell off the lift arms is pretty simple.

Well, that was a lot simpler than what I had to do!

My driveway isn't level, so that frame would have been very unstable. If you have to replace one of the centre torsion bars, you will have to figure out a different method.

There are some words of caution though. Make sure the lift arms don't rub in the pockets as they come out. I had to use ratchet straps to pull the lift arms back a little so they would be free as I raised the shell.

Larry- We cracked open the project 2720 on Father’s Day. Middle lift arm replacement & pocket repair was even easier than outer arms and pockets… We will open it up again like this to replace bag seals. This would’ve been a bit more difficult with A/C on the roof.

Well, isn't that clever!

THIS is why I pay my subscription to TM forums.

Thanks Shane.

Shane,

Great picture of something I hope I never have to do.

I see this 2720 has or had the side AC. If you want to get rid of a un-needed drip pan, drop me a line

It still has the A/C. I don’t know if it works, but it’s there. It will work one way or another.
