Default Congratulations to Trailmanor

I ran across the following article about the Trailmanor company. It states that had a very good 2007 and rewarded their employees accordingly. I like to hear the company is doing good, so they will remain viable. The higher gas prices get, the better their sales should be.

I believe that our forum membership's satisfaction and recommendations also help Trailmanor to a certain degree in their success.

Thanks for sharing this Bobby. I'm very happy about their success and hope they are able to maintain it for a very long time. I know that it is very difficult for independent businesses such as this to survive in the global economy with all the consolidations and things moving offshore. I'll continue to promote the TM to other travelers I encounter.

I've always wondered about the economics of RV manufacturing. There seem to be a huge number of different makes and models compared to the size of the market. It appears to this casual observer that the auto manufacturers which have a much larger market make many fewer types.

For example, when towing I pass a bunch of other Expeditions, but very few Trailmanors. Even when we had the Coleman popup, in seven years of camping we saw the exact same model only three times.

Even though we have had to move on to a larger trailer, I continue to carry TM brochures and recommend them to people as an option for them to consider.

I never begrudge a company some profit - especially when they share it with their employees. They have to make some money in order to stay in business.
