Thumbs up Great campground minutes from New Orleans!

We just tried out our new 3124 KB. What a great rv. We wanted to go someplace close to home for our first outing (20 minutes). We crossed the Mississippi River and a few miles down the road is a jewel in the rough. St. Bernard State Park. What a beautiful place to camp. The spaces were spread out, clean bath houses and grounds, and plenty of birds, squirrels and bunnies. We felt we were far away from civilization, not 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans. This area was hit very hard by Hurricane Katrina, but you'd never know it by the looks of this great park. If you have any interest in helping out this area, come spend some time here and get out and enjoy all the great activities and restaurants in the area!
